Robert Rivero was born and raised in South Florida and has been a lifelong musician. He studied Music Composition for Film and Television at Berklee College of Music, where he developed a passion for storytelling through music and refined his skills as a composer and arranger.

Robert spent six years on the faculty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, serving as Associate Director of Bands from 2019 to 2024 and Director of Bands from 2024 to 2025. During his tenure, he oversaw the Marching Band, Symphonic Winds, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. Under his leadership, all ensembles consistently earned straight superior ratings, the marching band was a multi-time FMBC State Champion, a consistent Bands of America Regional Finalist, and a BOA Grand National Semi-Finalist.

Since 2017, Robert has served on the staff of STRYKE Wynds as Music Arranger, Composer, and Music Caption Head, helping lead the ensemble to three consecutive WGI World Class Championships while bringing a bold and innovative musical voice to the program. From 2015 to 2019, he was the Director and Music Arranger for Flanagan Winds, leading the ensemble to two WGI Open Class Silver Medals, a WGI World Class Gold Medal Championship, and a WGI World Class Silver Medal. During this time, he also served as a music caption head and consultant for multiple high school programs across Florida, providing hands-on guidance in design, instruction, and program development.

Robert also served in the United States Army as a musician and Staff Arranger with the 13th Army Band from 2013 to 2023. He was the Principal Trumpet and Staff Arranger for the Florida Army Band and previously served on Active Duty as a member of the Army Honor Guard, performing Military Funeral Honors for more than 2,500 veterans.

He is currently a full-time music arranger and composer, providing custom music for marching bands, indoor winds programs, and concert ensembles across the country. Robert also works as an educational consultant, offering creative and strategic guidance to students, staff, and directors to help programs achieve their highest potential.

Outside of music, Robert and his wife love Disney and enjoy running. They live in South Florida with their dog, Archie, and spend their free time relaxing at home or making trips to the parks.
