ROBERT RIVERO
Composer • Arranger • Performer • Educator
Robert Rivero is a distinguished composer and arranger whose work is performed by renowned marching bands and indoor winds ensembles across the United States. His music blends competitive edge with artistic impact, engaging performers, audiences, and adjudicators alike.
His arrangements have contributed to the success of numerous high-achieving programs, including BOA Regional Finalists and Champions, Numerous State Finalists and Champions, and WGI World Class medalists. As the Music Arranger and Supervisor for STRYKE Wynds since 2019, his work has helped secure multiple WGI medals, including back-to-back World Championships in 2023 and 2024. He also led Flanagan Winds to a WGI World Championship in 2018 as their Director and Arranger.
Drawing upon his experience as a high school band director, Robert creates music that not only functions seamlessly on the field and floor but also inspires excellence and artistry in students. A graduate with honors from Berklee College of Music, he brings a cinematic approach to his writing, crafting dynamic and engaging musical experiences.
Robert continues to collaborate with ensembles nationwide, delivering innovative arrangements that elevate performances and set programs apart.

GET TO KNOW ROBERT
Robert was born and raised in South Florida and has been a lifelong musician. A trumpet player by trade, he studied Music Composition for Film and Television at Berklee College of Music, where he honed his craft in storytelling through music. He was also the Principal Trumpet and Staff Arranger for the Florida Army Band, refining his skills in performance and composition.
Currently, Robert is the Director of Bands at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, managing all aspects of the program. Before this role, he served as the Associate Director of Bands from 2019 to 2024, overseeing the Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Symphonic Winds.
Outside of music, Robert and his wife love Disney and enjoy running. They live in South Florida with their dog, Archie, and spend their free time relaxing at home or making trips to the parks.
